Due to the changing market forces and regulations the NIHT has now
extended its code of operation outside of the Meat Industry. The NIHT
and the National Association of Muslim Meat Traders (NAMMTRA) assures
the Muslim public that wherever you see the NIHT logo / certificate
you can accept the product with full confidence in the knowledge that
the highest Shariah standards have been employed in conjunction with
the Ulama.
The following establishments have been certified
Halaal by the NIHT.
All of the above mentioned abattoirs have full time
Muslim Supervisors overseeing the entire Halaal aspects and are responsible
for the monitoring of strict Shariah standards. Furthermore, monthly inspections
are carried out by the NIHT Inspectorate at all of the above mentioned
establishments. Annual audits are also carried out by Independent Ulama
to ensure that the strict Halaal standards set by the NIHT Ulama Committee
